Healthy Hometown

Prescription Discount Card

Community Services Department's motto is "Healthy Body, Open Mind, Balanced Life," as we look for opportunities for our community to achieve these goals.

Stockton residents can participate in a special program offered through the National League of Cities to help community members stay healthy and save money. My Healthy Hometown program provides prescription medications at a discount.

If you do not have prescription coverage or your prescriptions are not covered by your insurance, just pick up a card at the following locations. Discounts are even available on some pet medications.

Prescription Discount Cards

Just pick up a card at any library, community center, or in City Hall. Present the card at participating pharmacies when filling your prescription to receive an average of 24% off your prescription. The card is free to all City of Stockton residents, regardless of age, income, or existing health insurance.

If you can't make it to one of these locations, visit the "Print My Healthy Hometown Card" link at the bottom of this page and print out a discount card.  The printed card can be used at participating pharmacies.

Program Information

This is not insurance. Discounts are available at participating pharmacies, and discounts vary based on prescription and pharmacy. The Prescription Discount Card program is administered by CVS Caremark. By using this card, participants agree to pay the entire prescription cost, less any applicable discount.

Not sure if your pharmacy participates? The plan is administered through CVS, but many other national chains and local pharmacies participate. To print a card, check drugs prices, and locate participating pharmacies, visit the website link under External Links below, ask your pharmacist for more information, or call toll free: 1-888-620-1749.
