HIPAA - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a federal law to provide data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information. This protects patient medical records and other health information provided to health plans, doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers.
