Code Enforcement
The City of Stockton Police Department - Neighborhood Services Section is responsible for Code Enforcement.
For information about properties in Stockton, please print and return the Information Request Form by email to NSS@Stocktonca.gov or by fax to (209) 937-7264. Examples of code enforcement issues include:
- active or prior code enforcement activity/actions,
- permit issues, and
- liens or fines/fees due on a property.

Hotel/Motel Applications
Report Code Violations
If you see any code violations, please contact Neighborhood Services at (209) 937-8813 or email and include the street address of the violation. We are not able to take anonymous complaints. You must provide your name, but it will be kept confidential. Neighborhood Services programs, include:
- Graffiti Removal Program
- Residential Rental Inspection Program
- Hotel/Motel Permitting Program
- Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program.
Payoff Demand
If you would like to request a payoff demand to remove any recorded notices/liens from a property, as well as obtain a balance owed, fax a demand request to (209)937-7264 or send an email. Requests can only be accepted from:
- Property Owner
- Title/Escrow Company
- Listing Agent (With a copy of Listing Agreement)
